Receipting Information
The Dorothy Ley Hospice values all those who support us. We will issue a tax receipt for all donations with a value over $20. Please keep in mind the following about the receipting process.
You must have a valid email account to make a secure online donation as your receipt will be emailed to you.
Donations made through our secure online donations site will immediately receive a confirmation email followed by an email with your tax-receipt.
Donations mailed into the office will be processed within two-weeks.
The Hospice takes every effort to reduce our administrative costs allowing us to provide greater resources to our programs and services. Therefore, for offline gifts and those received by mail we process and send all tax-receipts at the end of the calendar year. For donations made in 2008 receipts will be mailed in January 2009 and for those made in 2009, receipts will be mailed in January 2010.

For Tribute Gifts the Hospice will send a card to the person or family you would like notified provided a full address is provided. This usually takes a week after the donation is made to be mailed.
