About Hospice

Hospice palliative care offers individuals who are living with the challenges of a life-limiting illness or loss compassionate care that helps them live their lives to the fullest regardless. Our goal is to help them live in comfort with their pain managed, and with dignity, meaning and hope.

We provide individuals the ability to make their own choice about the kind of care they desire, where they wish to receive it, and how and when they access services.  Hospices focus on providing customised solutions in the best interests of the individual and their families.

Most hospices are volunteer-based community service organizations. Some provide in-home care through volunteers and staff who help to coordinate support and care.  Other hospices offer residential service in a dedicated home-like facility.  In addition, hospices provide a range of programs such as respite services, spiritual and bereavement support, education and awareness opportunities, life-enhancing activities such as therapy and wellness initiatives.

Hospice programs meet the physical, emotional, spiritual and support needs for individuals and families, helping them to live life to the fullest.
