Volunteer Events

New Volunteer Information Sessions

Volunteers with The Dorothy Ley Hospice find self-fulfillment by making a difference in the lives of others.  Although more than half of our team of volunteers are involved with direct care, others volunteer their time gardening, at fundraising events, in administration, and on special committees.

Our next Information Sessions are:

Thursday, May 30 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Tuesday, June 11 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 p.m.
Thursday, June 17 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Thursday, July 11 from 10 a.m. to 11:30 a.m.
Tuesday, July 23 from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m.

Join us for a tour of the Centre followed by a presentation.

Butterfield Education Centre, Lower floor, 220 Sherway Dr. at The Dorothy Ley Hospice
(south of the Medical Building, 190 Sherway Dr.)

Next Volunteer Training Session

The next 30 hour volunteer training session begins Saturday, March 23rd and runs until April 20th.  It is held every Saturday from 9 a.m. until 4 p.m.  If you are interested in attending, please contact Rami Shami, Volunteer Services Coordinator at 416-626-0116 ext. 237.
