Volunteer Events

New Volunteer Information Sessions

Volunteers with The Dorothy Ley Hospice find self-fulfillment by making a difference in the lives of others.  Although more than half of our team of volunteers are involved with direct care, others volunteer their time at fundraising events, in administration, and on special committees.

Our next Information Sessions are:

Monday, February 13 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday, March 1 from 10 a.m. to noon
Monday, March 19 from 7 p.m. to 9 p.m.
Thursday, April 5 from 10 a.m. to noon

Join us for a tour of the Centre followed by a presentation.

Butterfield Education Centre, Lower floor, 220 Sherway Dr. at The Dorothy Ley Hospice
(south of the Medical Building, 190 Sherway Dr.)

The next 30 hour volunteer training session begins Wednesday, January 25 and runs until April 4.  It is held every Wednesday night from 6 p.m. until 9 p.m.  If you are interested in attending, please contact Heather Thompson, Volunteer Coordinator at 416-626-0116 ext. 235.
